Lightning Talks are an opportunity to collaborate and educate colleagues on topics relevant to the GEOINT 2020 theme: “New Decade, Challenges, and Strategies.” Lightning Talks are 6 minutes in length. The talks will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., April 27 and 28. Lightning Talks should focus on GEOINT applications performed by scientists, academics, analysts, or other community professionals. Visuals, demos, and graphics are strongly encouraged, but should avoid charts that contain so much information that the type font has to be very small.
USGIF Organizational Members, Individual Members, and Academic Partners/Accredited School representatives are invited to submit Lightning Talk proposals. Authors of the accepted proposals will be expected to register for the event. Submissions imply a commitment to attend the GEOINT Symposium if selected. Marketing pitches are not acceptable and will be disregarded during the proposal review process.
Proposals will be reviewed by a Review Committee and a limited number of proposals will be accepted, with priority given to interesting, creative, and practical ideas directly related to the main themes of the Symposium.
All submissions must be emailed to email@example.com no later than 5 p.m. EST March 3.
